So I've had a request for pictures of my new job at the zoo! My camera decided to run out of juice at the end so I won't be able to give you all the full tour but I did get some good shots.
The entrance to the Barnyard.
Bootsie, Mr. Goat, and Sprite basking in the sunshine.
Dove and Jerry hanging out inside.
Sweetie (she really is...she's one of my favorites) with Joy the pig munching on a sweet mineral block in the background.
Our lovely turkeys who are currently nameless. They lay these lovely, big, pink speckled eggs.
Some of the pretty little chickens. I love the cute little Bantams.
Sprocket and Bootsie saying hello. I love happy goat faces!
Ermie the Barbados sheep. She so dainty and has such a pretty face.
Oreo the dwarf bunny. She's so cute and cuddly! I love to snuggle her!
Inca the llama and Pano and Piedras the alpacas.
Louie the donkey. His roomie Hymie is inside.
Our rheas (They're from South America and look alot like small ostriches.)
Monkey! One of the Cotton-topped Tamarins. They're so cute. ^_^
One of the Patagonian Cavies, the second largest rodent in the world.
Rosemary the black bear. She's pretty darn old and recently got two new roommates - gray foxes from the Wildlife Care Center who are non-releasable due to leg injuries.
Bill's Memorial Garden- Bill was the chimp that died a few years ago. Eureka children bought him for the zoo from a circus in the 50s. The garden has a statue of Bill along with a history of his life and of the zoo. It also has future plans for the zoo.
Looking out across the grounds.
I hope you liked my little tour!
